5 Studio Dearborn Projects Named Finalists for 2018 Westchester Home Design Awards

Our very own Sarah Robertson is proud to have five projects in the running for top honors in the 2018 Westchester Home Design Awards. Westchester Home, the region’s premier home design magazine, announced finalists in their annual competition honoring the best interior designers, architects, and builders in January.

Sarah is vying for Westchester Home’s top interior design prize in three categories: Modern Kitchen, Traditional Kitchen, and Traditional Bath.

“Helping my clients create dream kitchens and baths is so rewarding, but being recognized by your peers in the industry feels really good, too,” she says.

Sarah and the team specialize in designing beautiful and functional interiors. They create kitchens, baths, mudrooms, laundry rooms, and dining spaces with custom cabinetry, space-saving hidden storage, and rich details. Robertson considers the kitchen the heart of the home and that’s never been more true than today. According to a recent article on Forbes.com, “the kitchen’s importance to the homeowner is second to none.” Realtor.com data shows homes with luxury kitchens sell faster and for a higher price.

Studio Dearborn Won Best Modern Kitchen in 2017

Judges awarded Studio Dearborn the best Modern Kitchen of 2017 for a gut remodel that transformed a tiny Mamaroneck kitchen into a serene and airy space. A folding door links the kitchen with the outdoors, while a cool tone-on-tone grey color palette and low central cooktop give the space an expansive and relaxing feel. While she’s competing against herself in the Modern Kitchen and Traditional Kitchen categories, Sarah is thrilled with her 2018 nominations.
